“Welcoming 2008 with inspiration, dedication, and a whole lot of fun! The year 2007 was filled with many firsts. Angela had her first festival performance in July at the Bite of Seattle. She did her first radio interview and live performance. She also recorded her first live podcast show (which has not been aired yet, so stay tuned for that.) AND the first official Angela Reed band tour took place at the beginning of December (a word from Angela on the tour antics appears below.)

New things to check out include the new music review on www.Lipstikindie.com! Just look under BANDS. The new photos are here! Look in the Gallery for some new photography of live shows this summer and the fantastic shoot in New York City by none other than David Sokol. Go to www.davidsokolphotographer.com to view some of his live and portrait shots of revered musicians (including Arif Mardin, Keith Emerson, Sean Lennon, Anton Fig, Buddy Williams, and more).

Angela Reed’s live CD Last Night In (2003) is now sold out. If you have been quick enough to get a copy of this moment in time you are now the proud owner of a collector’s item. This was a limited edition CD, so there will be no more copies made.

A word from Angela: “This December’s tour took the band and I to far-off lands like Northern and Eastern Washington before heading down to Oregon for a solo show in Portland. It was an overall success despite laryngitis and road closures (remember all the flooding?) Thanks SO much to all the folks that came out to the shows. You all make it possible! I can’t wait to do it again. I also want to officially thank my bandmates for being the best company AND the best players a girl could ever wish for, so I’d like to give out a couple of awards! The award for best tour photo goes to Bassist Ken Jacobson for his outstanding abstract field work in the Twisp “Green Room” kitchen. The award for classiest tour vehicle goes to drummer Cody Rahn for his 1995 green Plymouth Voyager with all of its tricky seatbelts and doors, lack of heat, and broken gear gauge (I think we broke that one.) It was a blast! Stick around for the next one.”
