Mutiny

I must’ve been wrong
I must’ve been blind
I must’ve been cold, I must’ve been bold
To justify lying
‘Cause I broke ranks
With honesty
With no parachute I’m well in cahoots
With my mutiny

Regrets come and go
They always haunt the ones who can’t be free
Here I am the villain in this tragedy

Way to go, you light your fires
And you ride out to sea
You’ve lost your port and you’re all alone
In the night with your mutiny

I must’ve been cruel
And numbed to the pain
I must’ve been hard, I must’ve been dark
And filled with disdain
You found me out
You heard my denial
You told me to leave ‘cause I was a thief
I stole your smile

I must’ve been mean
I must’ve been a fool
I must’ve been lost to not weigh the cost
Of losing you
